We are looking for a Service Engineer, E&A to join our dynamic, fast-paced E&A Team for Energy Business in Wärtsilä Ecuador.
The desired location for this position is Quito.

What will you be doing
You will be performing various field service activities, including minor, major Electrical, and Automation works at the customer job site solving technical and operational problems, following the instructions of the product manuals and technical documentations.
The ideal candidate has a bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Electronics or Electromechanical Engineering + minimum two years of related experience in Wärtsilä technology or related products.
As a Service Engineer E&A, you will focus on these responsibilities:
- Perform Field Service activities according to the work plan and safety-first mindset.
- May perform minor and major Electrical and Automation works and special services as per your individual development plan, following the instructions of the product manuals and technical documentations.
- Perform internal and external progress status reports of the service or assigned works as per Field Service Coordinator instructions.
- Create the Service Work Reports.
- Report periodically the working and idle hours and travel expenses as per the local instructions and corporate FS process.
- Ensure that the work is executed according to Wärtsila Quality, Health, Safety and Environmental guidelines and customer site procedures.
- Keep a close communication with his/her line manager.
- Be available to attend company and customer assignments locally or abroad.
- Demonstrate Wärtsilä values.
- Comply with all legal requirements applicable to our local operations, local internal work regulations defined in the local Employee Handbook, local rules, norms and procedures, guidelines and corporate policies (E.g. Code of Conduct).
