Mission/About the role:
This role will be responsible for purchasing activities for a given commodity and to ensure the operational relations with suppliers within the strategy defined in cross functional team and the respect of the contracts on the field (plant, entity); take part in the negotiation process regarding price level, and / or quantity, quality, logistic level; track and report key elements/data on supplier performance.

Mission/About the role:
This role will be responsible for purchasing activities for a given commodity and to ensure the operational relations with suppliers within the strategy defined in cross functional team and the respect of the contracts on the field (plant, entity); take part in the negotiation process regarding price level, and / or quantity, quality, logistic level; track and report key elements/data on supplier performance.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Ensure the application of the commodity strategy and align on the key supplier’s panel.
- Propose productivity actions (Negotiations, Change of Suppliers, Quality Value Engineering) within his/her perimeter in consistency with commodity strategy.
- Identify new technologies/suppliers, characterize gaps between needs & current panel.
- Provide local market intelligence and new products launch requirements to build sourcing strategies.
- Share key choices with commodity managers/cross functional team.
- Manage supplier consultation & selection, according to commodity strategy.
- Manage supply qualification; negotiate and manage contracts/agreements with local/specific suppliers (price, delivery, terms and conditions, ..)
- Monitor and ensure competitive material cost to meet product target cost (design/redesign to cost).
- Participate to cost estimation.
- Get and analyze supplier quotes.
- Contribute to the procurement database update by providing necessary information to commodity managers / supplier leaders / plants update database of spend; update specific basis.
- First escalation level for supplier crisis management.
- Implement the quality and cost reduction objective related to action plan/productivity program.
Qualifications
Primary Location: Egypt
- Engineering bachelor’s degree.
- 1-2 years of relevant experience in Procurement.
- Excellent command of English language.
- Professional user of MS office.
- Ability to work with team.
- Adhering to principles & values.
- Learning & Researching.
- Adapting & responding to change.
