Your role and responsibilities
he Product Group Low Voltage System Drives offers a broad portfolio of high-performance, user-friendly and digitally enabled low voltage AC and DC drives to save energy and reduce CO2 emissions. Our customers rely on our products to drive demanding applications vital for industry and infrastructure. In this role you will be responsible for the creation and implementation of the quality, reliability and lifecycle strategy, delivering superior customer experience along all touchpoints of the customers’ journey. The success in this position will require a very tight collaboration inside the Product Group, with division stakeholders, Motion Service and a significant change management effort in many parts of our organization. The role also includes driving continuous improvements by monitoring key performance indicators and fostering a data-driven problem-solving culture. It involves enhancing customer relations by collaborating across various functions to improve service quality and ensuring the Voice of the Customer is integrated into all levels of the organization. The position also emphasizes cross-divisional collaboration to optimize product and solution delivery and supports the development of business teams through effective leadership and career development initiatives. In this role you will be reporting to the Global Product Group Manager and will be a member of the Global Product Group Management Team. You will also be reporting functionally to the System Drives Quality & Customer Experience Manager. The work model for the role is: hybrid ; LI-Hybrid The role is contributing to the Motion / System Drives Division globally. You will be working as a Global Quality, Reliability & Lifecycle Manager for the Product Group Low Voltage System Drives. Preferable working location for the role is in one of the Low Voltage System Drives main locations (e.g. China, Finland, Germany, India or United States). Travelling is required up to 30% for this position. You will be mainly accountable for: • Strategy: Develop and deploy Product Group wide initiatives and projects, in line with the Division strategy, for improving end to end customer experience by securing full engagement and buy-in of the business. • Value proposition: Implementing the unified value proposition ensuring market leading operational uptime. Creating and aligning the product and services roadmaps to implement the unified value proposition for all products in collaboration with System Drives Division and PG stakeholders, as well as Motion Services. • Quality assurance: Working across the Product Group and together with Global Operations to prevent mistakes and defects in products, solutions and services that would negatively impact the Customer Experience. Provide confidence that ABB requirements as well as customer quality expectations will be fulfilled; focus on issue prevention rather than just remedy, establish metrics and set the targets for the customer and stakeholder needs/expectations. • Reliability management: Drive the sustainable deployment of reliability engineering practices across functions and locations. Embed data-driven techniques and real-time elements in the management of the installed base. Develop and implement methodology to systematically learn from customer feedback and asset lifecycle data. • Life-cycle management and end-to-end product maintenance: Creating and aligning the life-cycle management roadmaps for all PG products in collaboration with all PG and division stakeholders, as well as Motion Services. Implementing global life-cycle management practices and governance models to ensure the creation, execution and regular review of the action plans by product.Qualifications for the role
- Minimum 10 years of industry experience in a relevant Quality Assurance or Lifecycle Management role.
- Background in modern Reliability Engineering practices in development, production, and lifecycle management of a product.
- Experience in using L6S methodology.
- Broad understanding of the technologies involved in the Low Voltage System Drives business is a plus.
- Masters degree in Engineering or related field.
- Passion for people, customers, quality and technology.
- Strategic thinking of our future (Io T, digital based new business) and ability to define and develop digital solutions for the customer journey.
- Strong commercial acumen and understanding of value proposition development.
- Ability to coach, develop, lead and energize a global organization.
- Good influencing, coordinating skills and ability to lead without authority.
- Broad and deep understanding of customer engagement and service business.
- Self-motivated, proactive collaboration skills and solid stakeholder engagement skills.
- Fluent English language skills.
