We are now expanding our operations into Finland and are seeking a Head of Site Development to lead and further develop our team within the Land Development business area.

About the Role

As the Head of Site Development for our operations in Finland, you will play a central role in establishing and scaling up our business, while being responsible for site development and the commercial success of projects. You will build and lead the team, driving the development processes from identifying land to ensuring projects are "ready to build" (RTB), with the goal of creating long-term value for both Solkompaniet and our partners.
The Land business area operates in a rapidly growing market, and you will be a key player in further developing our strategies and methods in line with market evolution. With the support of an experienced team and the industry's leading solar energy experts, you will lead a significant growth journey in Finland.

Key Responsibilities:

• Establish and scale Solkompaniet’s site development operations in Finland, focusing on commercial success and large-scale solar power site development.
• Identify, lease, and develop land for solar power projects, while optimizing the land portfolio to ensure projects reach "ready to build" (RTB) status.
• Develop and manage long-term relationships with landowners, forestry companies, institutional investors, and other key stakeholders to maximize business opportunities.
• Build and lead a high-performing team, responsible for recruitment, coaching, and employee development.
• Represent Solkompaniet in Finland and build the company's brand by participating in relevant industry and networking events, as well as panels, conferences, and agricultural fairs.
• Actively participate in the business area's management group and contribute to strategic development and expansion, with a focus on both operational and long-term goals.

Who are you?

We are looking for a commercially driven and goal-oriented leader with a strong passion for renewable energy. You have extensive experience in leading teams and operations, preferably within the energy industry or related fields. You enjoy building long-term relationships and have a commercial background that enables you to identify business opportunities and drive results in a dynamic environment.
We also believe you have:

• At least 5 years of experience in commercial leadership with responsibility for staff and budgets.
• Experience in building and leading teams as well as driving strategic projects.
• Experience in negotiations and contract management.
• Experience in the energy sector is a plus.
• Excellent knowledge of Finnish and English; Swedish is a strong advantage.

Location and Scope:

• Location: Southern/Southwestern Finland, for example, Turku or Helsinki. The position involves regular travel, including trips to Stockholm approximately once a month.
• Scope: Full-time, permanent.
