PMO Manager, Port Services

Are you ready to lead and develop a team of project managers and coordinators managing global service projects? Port Services is looking for a PMO Manager, to drive the project management office (PMO) function.

Business Unit Port Services, a critical part of Business Area Port Solutions, is a known and trusted service partner within port industry. Port Services offers a wide range of services both internally and externally. These services are, for example; maintenance and inspections, retrofit and modernization packages, spare parts, training, consulting and digital services for port equipment manufactured by Konecranes as well as other manufacturers.

As PMO Manager, you will be running the PMO team responsible of delivering our retrofit, modernization, inspection and repair projects globally. In addition to being a motivational leader for 12 dedicated PMO professionals located in Hyvinkää and Düsseldorf, you will have the possibility of developing the used processes and tools for the function.

Your Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and support the PMO team in planning and execution all customer orders
• Ensure the availability of professional PMO resources based on business demand
• Develop and implement standardized project management policies, standards and procedures in line with best practice
• Project portfolio status reporting to key stakeholders
• Solve internal and external escalation cases

What should you bring?

To succeed in this role, you need to have a customer centric mindset, excellent communication skills and ability to liaise with customers and develop relationships at all levels. It is also crucial that you have strong analytical, organisational and problem-solving skills with the ability to delegate tasks, motivate team members and manage stakeholder priorities in a deadline-oriented environment.

What we also expect you to have:

• Degree in relevant discipline e.g. Business or Engineering or years of experience in equivalent field
• Years of experience of Project Management functions
• Deep understanding of project scoping, scheduling, budgeting controlling, quality management and risk management
• Experience in successfully managing and leading multi-functional teams
• Customer-centric thinking
• Fluency in English, both written and spoken
• Good understanding of the service business for machinery industries, experience from SAP and fluency in German or Finnish are highly appreciated but not mandatory
• The role requires international travel.
