We are seeking a Senior Manager to join the Corporate Strategy and M&A team in Helsinki, Finland. You will be responsible for leading strategic projects to accelerate the implementation of our strategy – The Wärtsilä Way. You will work closely with our businesses to ensure alignment of strategy and M&A. The position will report to the VP, of Strategy and M&A at Wärtsilä Corporation.
Position information:
This is a permanent position and the location is Helsinki, Finland.
Your role and responsibilities:
- Steer planning and implementation of strategic projects
- Foster a close working relationship with business stakeholders to ensure alignment of strategy and knowledge sharing
- Coordinate M&A transaction execution, including valuation, due diligence, negotiations, and integration planning
- Contribute to the development of Wärtsilä’s M&A process and methodology
Requirements for this role:
- The ideal candidate is a critical thinker and motivated team player with 5-6 years of experience in corporate development, management consulting and/or investment banking
- We look for experience in leading several projects in parallel from planning to implementation
- To succeed in this role, you must be a strong communicator with the ability to build and maintain relationships within a global corporation
- Furthermore, you are performance-driven, with excellent analytical skills and solid business acumen
- A master’s degree in finance, accounting and/or industrial engineering & management is a plus
- Fluency in English is a requirement
