S-kaupat is S Group’s 2nd generation grocery e Com solution and a true helper in daily routines and tasks. The product has gained the market-leader position in the few years after its launch. We started the product as a pilot to sell crayfish in Food Market Herkku, and nowadays around 40,000 orders are delivered via S-kaupat every week. S-kaupat can be found on the web and mobile, and the operations cover over 270 markets.
We’re looking for Senior Mobile Engineer for S-kaupat
Behind the S-kaupat web service and mobile app, there is a diverse team of approx. 100 professionals from the fields of engineering, design, accessibility, business, data and analytics, QA and customer service. We are sharing the end-to-end responsibility for S-kaupat starting from product vision and innovation to release and operations. Inside this relatively large team, we have organized ourselves into smaller autonomous squads following the customer journey.
The Store Tech squad is responsible for developing the most user friendly and efficient e-grocery in-store back-office fulfillment solutions and pickup experience. Our solutions are used for managing daily operations and order picking at stores. The squad consists currently of 5 members (3 engineers, 1 designer, 1 business developer) and we would like to further expand our software development capabilities, and thus we are recruiting a Senior Mobile Engineer for the squad. As a Senior Mobile Engineer, you will be developing a mobile application for employees to pick up the customers’ orders and a web front-end for managing daily operations, as well as the related back-end solutions.
We are quite proud of our custom-made e Com solution. The architecture is fully serverless and event-driven and we work with modern and solid technologies such as React, React Native, Type Script, Next.js, AWS Lambda, SQS, Event Bridge and Dynamo DB.

What we hope from you

At least five years of experience working with mobile development

Experience and know-how on React Native and Android development

Excellent Type Script skills and good command of AWS Serverless technologies

Experience with Graph QL and Apollo Client

Ability and confidence to make independent decisions and share insight on technical matters

Problem solving attitude and collaborative way of working

Fluent communication in English in work-related matters

Willingness to work in hybrid mode
