Wärtsilä Research & Development Engine Laboratory is looking for a Senior Project Manager to lead diverse projects in product development engine testing department. Position is permanent and located in Vaasa, Finland.

As a Senior Project Manager, Engine Laboratory, your work will include projecting of

• lab engine moves / configuration changes / genset creations
• lab engine preparation area continuous improvement on safety / equipment / platforms / tooling / methodologies
• continuous improvement of lab engine box-in / box-out minimizing waste and increasing utilization rate
• project planning, monitoring and change management including scope, schedule, budget and capital expense creation

You will be working as a part of energetic and creative engine laboratory teams with diverse expertise.

Requirements for the position:

• Technical education (BSc or MSc in engineering)
• 5+ years of project manager experience
• Structured and systematic way of working and ability to decide
• Strong personal drive, proactive mindset and passionate about getting things done
• Good communication, team working and negotiation skills
• Fluent verbal and written skills in Finnish and English

To be able to succeed in the position, we see the following as an advantage:

• Ability to figure out large complex entities
• Mechanical and process design experience
• Experience of laboratory engine testing environment
