Technical Writer
Elevate your career by joining our team at the forefront of X-ray innovations! We are looking for an experienced Technical Writer to create and enhance the documentation and technical marketing materials for our advanced solutions, which are applied in variety of X-ray imaging and analysis applications in the security, industrial, and medical fields.
Your role
In this new position, your main responsibility is to produce and maintain clear and precise product datasheets and manuals to support easy installation, use, and maintenance of our offering. Furthermore, you will utilize your expertise in writing appealing copies for application notes, brochures, customer testimonials, and other marketing materials. In addition, you will take responsibility for developing our documentation process and implementation of the related AI-powered tools.
You have passion for tech and B2B comms. You have capability to evaluate and analyze complex information, and to turn benefits and features of technical solutions and evolving technologies to easily understandable documents and marketing materials enhancing customer experience. You are persistent and used to working also independently, even though you collaborate closely with our product management, application engineers, developers, and marketing team.
Responsibilities and major activities
Write and edit clean, precise, and informative copies for brochures, datasheets, product and installation manuals, application notes, white papers, case studies, customer testimonials, presentations, and other marketing collateral targeted for various audiences
Create visual content, such as 3D renderings, diagrams, and flow charts to support key messaging
Manage document translations for worldwide deployment of products
Create, implement and develop documentation process
What we expect
Essential
Experience in producing high quality technical content for versatile channels and target audiences
Capability to turn complex engineering specifications and solutions into an easily understandable form
Excellent English skills both written and spoken
Ability to collaborate and build strong working relationships in multi-cultural and diverse teams
Pro-active team player who thinks ahead, plans, and suggests solutions
Degree in engineering, technical writing, journalism, English, or a related degree, and/or 3+ years of technical writing experience
Experience using authoring / content creation and documentation tools
Experience in creating visuals
Desirable
Experience in X-ray imaging, electronics, or other high-tech products
Hands-on experience of the latest AI tools
Positive attitude toward changes

1-3 months
Get familiar with the company (key persons, processes, products), markets and applications
Join the first product development programs, gather the inputs and knowledge
Plan and start creating documents for the related products.
3-6 months
Complete and release product documents (datasheets, manuals)
Take ownership of the company's documentation "library", product documentation process and tools development
6-12 months
Develop and share knowledge of company's products and applications
Publish application notes, customer testimonials and other marketing material on selected cases
Improve and integrate documentation process fluently with our other processes
Location
You will be based either in Oulu or Espoo, Finland, with close collaboration with our global teams. You will report to the Director of Product Management.
