We are looking for a Test Run Manager to join our Customer Delivery team in the Testing & Validation, R&D and Engineering organisation. The Customer Delivery team, Testing & Validation is responsible for testing customer projects (W20, W31, W32&W34 and W46 engines) at Wärtsilä Vaasa testing facilities according to classification rules and internal directives.

The position is permanent and located in Vaasa, Finland.

Responsibilities:

• Act as a single point of contact for customers and the Wärtsilä Project team regarding testing-related questions and issues
• Customer care during visits including hosting and company introduction
• Ensure that the preparation of the factory acceptance test/product conformity test is done on time
• Guarantee that the factory acceptance test is done according to the requirements (acceptance criteria)
• Ensure that all the requested tests are done according to specification
• Prepare the FAT protocol (a specific performance document that needs to be created and signed by the classification society and customer representative)
• Close cooperation with the Project team, Test Engineer and Test teams, during the test period
• Technical consult regarding non-standard test request
• Act as a Testing and Validation organisation representative in the Delivery Centre Project team
• Identify and mitigate any potential risks concerning customer experience
• Resolution owner in the test run session quality report

To be successful in this role, we expect you to have:

• BSc or MSc in engineering or equivalent education
• Minimum 5 years of experience working in a technical environment
• Ability to work in a multicultural environment
• Proven track record in customer interaction and a customer-centric approach
• Good communication skills for both internal and external aspects of the work
• Quality-oriented mindset
• Ability and willingness to work in flexible working hours
• Fluent written and spoken English
