We, in the Commercial Nordic Product & Underwriting Cargo team, want our customers to have the best customer experience they possibly can! Our team is responsible for the cargo insurances we offer our commercial customers in the Nordics. We ultimately decide what these insurances should include, how they are packaged and sold, and to what price. We build this experience by ensuring our sales teams have the knowledge to understand our customers’ needs, so that If can be by our customers’ side when an injury or accident happens. We are now looking for a new team member to help us in succeeding in our mission.

About the role

You will be responsible for underwriting in the Cargo line of business in Finland. With us you will have a position with a wide range of possibilities and responsibilities, including:

Sharing industry knowledge and best practices with other underwriters from other business areas (such as liability), and our sales and support colleagues
Developing best in class customer offering and pricing in cargo
Responsibility for the Finnish portfolio profitability and growth
Being part of implementing tools that enable our sales teams in their interaction with the customers (e.g. educational courses, training, cargo-related content etc.).

About the team

You will be part of our Nordic Cargo team of 6 skilled people with diverse backgrounds. The background of our team varies, but what we all have in common is a passion for working towards the best possible offering for our customers, which we do in close collaboration with our colleagues in different units, e.g. Sales, Business Support, and Claims, and also with our partners. Sharing knowledge and ideas with our Nordic organization lets us stay ahead with understanding and utilizing our data, catch trends early on and do high quality underwriting. In addition to our Nordic team, we are all also part of our local P&UW organizations in respective countries. P&UW Finland is a tight community, in which you will get a change to work with ~50 experts and colleagues working with similar things as you in the areas of vehicle, personal, property, liability and marine insurances.

Who are you?

We are looking for you with a lot of drive, courage, and curiosity. You have an eye for details without missing out the overall picture, and you enjoy problem-solving. You find it fun to collaborate with many stakeholders and helping others to succeed.

You also have:

A deep interest in cargo and the transport industry since this is the area you will be working with - previous experience in the area is a plus but not required.
Fluency in both English and Finnish.

Additional information and the recruitment process
