General Summary:
In Wireless R&D (WR&D), we are working on building the cutting-edge end-to-end prototype systems for 5G NR Sub6/mm W and WLAN. These prototype systems focus on proof of concept and on key feature development in the 5G and WLAN areas. We are looking for a self-starter and motivated individual who wants to take his/her cellular experience to the next level. The candidate will be contributing to key research and development topics in mobile wireless and WLAN. They will be working with world class engineering teams to shape the future of wireless communication.

More specifically, SI&T team members interact closely with Systems engineers, Software/Hardware developers and RF engineers to test and evaluate the end-to-end prototypes. This includes defining testing goals, writing test plans, executing tests, trouble shooting and performing detailed post processing analysis. The ideal candidate will have a strong interest in testing, enjoy working in a lab environment, drive testing (Over the Air testing), be proactive, and have a hands-on approach to work assignments.

Prime responsibilities will be System integration and test of L1, L2 and L3 layers. Candidates must have great interest in new technologies and willing to learn. Strong communication and interpersonal skills are required and must be able to work well with others in a technical environment. Some travel for tradeshows, demos may be required.

Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field.
Preferred Qualifications:

• Knowledge of LTE PHY, MAC, RLC, PDCP, RRC protocols. Knowledge of Wi-Fi PHY and MAC layer.
• Knowledge of IP, UDP, TCP, HTTP protocols and analysis tools such as Wireshark
• Experience with test equipment such as Channel emulator, Spectrum analyzers and Signal generators.
• Strong fundamentals in Communications Theory is preferred.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced dynamic team environment.
• Background in Wireless communication is preferred.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 2+ years of Systems Engineering or related work experience.

OR
Master's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 1+ year of Systems Engineering or related work experience.
OR
Ph D in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field.
