Your mission

Got Photo is looking for an enthusiastic Accountant to join our Accounting Team to support the financial integrity and efficiency of the organization by accurately maintaining and financial records, ensuring compliance with accounting standards, and providing timely and precise reporting.
This is a hybrid position: We would appreciate if you are located in or around Berlin and be able to commute to our office 1-2 times/week.
We have legal entities in Germany (Fotografen Online Service Gmb H) and in the US (Got Photo Inc).

Responsibilities

• Accounting and Financial Management: You support our departments with Got Photo Accounting functions, including credits, refunds, and payments. You monitor payment transactions and understand technical integration.
  
• Month/Year End Closings: You assist our Senior Accountants with Month End and Year End Closings by gaining expertise in Group Accounting and reconciliations.
  
• Day-to-Day Tasks: You manage incoming invoices, use expense tools, handle pre-accounting, reconciliations, and resolve issues with interfaces and ports.
  
• Collaboration and Support: You engage in cross-functional projects involving tech, payment, and accounting teams.
  

We are looking for

• Experience & Skills: You have 1-3 years of experience in Accounting with knowledge of HGB and US GAAP. You are proficient in booking in common Accounting systems (e.g. DATEV).
  
• Tax Knowledge: You have a basic understanding of VAT schemes.
  
• Problem-Solving & Communication: You have strong problem-solving skills, proactive issue resolution, and effective communication with cross-functional teams.
  
• Core Competencies: You have attention to detail, strategic thinking, collaboration, and awareness of compliance and regulatory standards.
  
• Languages: Your language skills are sufficient to communicate effectively in German and English in a business environment.
