Accountant / Buchhalter (d/f/m)

Key Responsibilities:

Accounts Payable & Receivable: Process invoices, payments, and manage outstanding receivables with customers and vendors

Manage General Ledger (GL) accounting – Ensure accurate and timely posting of journal entries, account reconciliations, and month-end closing processes
-
Tax Compliance: Ensure compliance with German tax regulations, including VAT reporting and corporate tax filings
-
Audits: Coordinate with auditors and prepare required documentation for internal and external audits

Support process improvements – Identify opportunities for improving accounting processes and systems, ensuring efficiency and compliance with local regulations

Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams across multiple locations, providing financial insights and guidance
Qualifications:
-
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
-
Fluency in German and English (written and spoken)
-
2+ years of experience in accounting, preferably with knowledge of German GAAP (HGB) and IFRS
-
Familiarity with German tax laws and VAT reporting requirements
-
Strong proficiency in accounting software and Excel
-
Experience working in multinational environments is a plus

Excellent organizational skills with high attention to detail

Ability to meet deadlines and work independently or as part of a team
