Your role
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Application Technologist to join our Scent and Care team in Germany. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the development, preparation, and optimization of cosmetic products. The role will involve working on a variety of cosmetic formulations, conducting market product rebuilds, and providing sensory performance comparisons through our assessment panel. This is a hands-on lab-based role, focusing on customer-oriented projects across the EAME region.
- Develop, prepare, and optimize cosmetic products, including leave-on and rinse-off formulations, W/O and O/W types, and gel and surfactant-based systems.
- Rebuild market products and benchmark formulations, comparing their sensorial performance in our sensory assessment panel.
- Collaborate on customer-oriented projects within the EAME region (Benelux, D-A-CH, Eastern Europe + CIS, Scandinavia).
- Conduct internal and external customer training sessions, focusing on product applications.
- Perform various lab analyses, including rheology, microscopy, skin feel assessments, and stability analyses, to ensure the highest quality standards.
- Oversee lab work and results, maintaining detailed records using databases such as Coptis, SAP, CX, and other systems.
- Coordinate with raw material suppliers, manage orders of internal and external products.
About you
- Completed training as a Chemical Laboratory Assistant.
- Experience in formulation work or application technology for cosmetic raw materials and personal care products is desirable.
- Proficient in IT skills, including MS Office and SAP.
- Proficiency in the German language is required
- Confident in both written and spoken English.
