Job Summary:
. We are seeking a skilled Automation Test Engineer to join our quality assurance team.
. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in automated testing of software applications and systems, ensuring that all deliverables meet business needs and maintain high-quality standards.
. As an Automation Test Engineer, you will develop, execute, and maintain automated test scripts, identify defects, and work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of applications.
Key Responsibilities:
- Test Automation Development: Design, develop, and maintain automation test scripts using appropriate automation tools (e.g., Selenium, Appium, JUnit, Test NG, etc.).
- Test Planning: Collaborate with the QA and development teams to create test plans, test cases, and test data that cover all aspects of the application functionality.
- Framework Design: Build and enhance automation testing frameworks for UI, API, and database layers of software systems.
- Test Execution: Execute automated tests, analyze the results, and report defects and issues to the development team.
- Continuous Integration: Integrate automated tests into the CI/CD pipeline (e.g., using Jenkins, Git Lab CI, etc.).
- Defect Tracking: Identify, document, and track bugs using issue tracking tools (e.g., Jira, Bugzilla).
- Collaboration: Work with developers, product managers, and QA engineers to ensure that defects are identified, isolated, and resolved efficiently.
- Code Reviews: Participate in code reviews to ensure high-quality automation code.
- Performance Testing: Conduct performance, scalability, and stress tests to ensure application stability.
- Compliance & Standards: Ensure all testing aligns with industry best practices and organizational standards.
- Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills for documenting test cases, plans, and bug reports.
- Experience with cloud-based testing environments (e.g., AWS, Azure).
- Knowledge of BDD (Behavior Driven Development) and TDD (Test Driven Development) methodologies.
- ISTQB or other relevant certifications.
