Head of Market Financial Reporting

• Accountable for timely and accurate financial reporting in SAP and HFM for all in scope markets (including Germany and Vodafone’s subsidiaries in Europe)
• Supporting Group Financial Reporting through ensuring timely submission of the monthly, quarterly and year results
• Supports and shares insights with peer Teams to drive the R2R evolution and standardization
• Safeguards the accurate and consistent application of group financial reporting policies and respective reporting instructions
• Aggregates and provides relevant, accurate and timely financial and reporting information to the Director Group Financial Controlling & Operations
• Ensures effective alignment with CSO and markets and be a role-model in collaborating with the wider Finance community and influence all relevant Vodafone internal and external key stakeholders
• Enforces a robust framework for gaining frequent transparency on all risks, contingencies or opportunities to financial statements. Provides this as critical inputs to Group Financial Reporting and additional key finance stakeholders.
• Creates a culture of proactive continuous improvement of processes, systems and people and provide a platform for the people to develop their career and employability
• Develops robust pool of talents and progresses these into leadership roles

• Leadership skills and experience in managing highly qualified teams in a complex (incl. cross-border) and dynamic operating environment
• Deep technical financial accounting and reporting skills
• Strong understanding and track record of how commercial transactions are translated into financial statements
• Excellent self-leadership & highly self-reflective
• Empathic leader with deep interests and experience to grow and develop teams as well as highly qualified individuals
• Competent in coaching & moderation and experienced in applying new work methodologies and digital tools
• Strong track record in steering and moderating audit procedures required for financial reporting assurance and sign-off
• High level of resilience and tolerance of ambiguity
• Strong ambassador of diversity; skilled in managing diverse teams
• Excellent communication skills to ensure a clear representation of the results, processes and procedures and to influence multiple stakeholders
• Excellent Business Partnering Skills and ‘Can Do’ mindset with focus on excellence in customer experience
• Chartered Accountant (or equivalent)
• University graduate, preferably from Finance and Accounting, Business Administration, Economics, etc.
• 15+ years experience in finance, in-particular in all areas of finance operations either by practical delivery or through oversight
• Broad telecommunications industry experience
• Very strong cooperation, coordination, communication and presentation skills
• Analytical-minded, innovative, adaptable, team player and leader with broad experience and understanding of performance management
