Lead Azure Systems Engineer (m/f/d)

At EPAM, we're looking for a Lead Azure Systems Engineer to work collaboratively on client projects across diverse verticals including Fin Tech, Big Tech, Life Sciences, Media and Entertainment, among others. This role invites you to contribute significantly to our projects while continually enhancing your expertise through our comprehensive learning ecosystem.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Demonstrate a proactive mindset and a strong desire to learn and explore new technologies, including Gen AI, LLM and Copilots
- Lead the implementation and management of Azure cloud services with a focus on Infrastructure as Code (Ia C)
- Develop and maintain continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD) pipelines using tools such as Azure Dev Ops, Git Hub or Git Lab
- Write and maintain high-quality, reusable code and manage configurations through scripting languages such as Python, Bash or Power Shell
- Configure, monitor and maintain cost-effective, scalable and resilient Microsoft Azure solutions
- Ensure compliance with client security, quality, scalability, resiliency and regulatory standards
- Create clear, comprehensive technical support documentation, reusable assets and guidance materials
- Provide technical direction for Dev Ops initiatives across different solution groups and third-party vendors
- Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams to achieve project goals and resolve issues
REQUIREMENTS
- 3+ years of experience in Azure Cloud and Azure Dev Ops, Git Hub, Git Lab or similar tools
- Infrastructure as Code (Ia C): Expertise in tools like Terraform, ARM Templates, Pulumi or Bicep for managing cloud infrastructure
- Scripting Skills: Proficiency in scripting languages, preferably Python, Bash or Power Shell, to automate tasks and manage configurations
- Dev Ops Full Stack: Practical knowledge of Dev Ops practices across the full stack (database, services, code, deployment and monitoring) within Azure Cloud
- Experience with container technologies and orchestration tools, including Docker, Kubernetes and Helm
- Proven experience in using CI/CD tools such as Azure Dev Ops, Git Hub or Git Lab
- Strong ability to work with developers, architects and project managers to identify and resolve bottlenecks, improve application performance and ensure smooth deployments
- Flexibility working from our offices and visiting clients if required
- Fluency in written and spoken English and German

- Understanding of Cloud best practices established in the marked, such as Cloud Adoption Framework and Well Architected Framework
- Ability to identify opportunities, propose and implement changes of improvement in current process
