Loss Control Engineering (LCE) in Munich supports underwriting excellence and provides technical and commercial support for the assessment of operational and project risks in all Munich Re business units worldwide. Our clients are underwriting and claims units within Munich Re and their cedants.
The Loss Control Consulting team advises on Business Interruption and Natural Hazard risks. This service aims to improve the Underwriters understanding of risks and determining possible mitigation actions.
We are looking for an experienced Financial Data Analytics specialist to join our team in Munich to support our activities in the field of Business Interruption.

Your job

• Consulting our internal and external customers on assessing Business Interruption risks and claims in Property and other lines of business
• Analysis of key financial data (Statements of Values, Income Statements, Balance Sheets, etc.) and client submissions (inspection reports, policies, etc.)
• Developing and maintaining standards and tools for assessing BI risks
• Leading and/or participating in working groups and projects
• Knowledge building and tracking of trends and developments in the field of BI
• Initiating, planning and conducting internal and external trainings and customer seminars

Your profile

• University degree, preferably with a practice oriented Data Science or Business Informatics background
• Good knowledge of property (re) insurance as well as a strong ability to analyze financial key figures in data sources from insurance and industry
• Project leadership skills in development of applications and tools
• Expert skill in the use of Microsoft Office products and other software, e.g. Geographic Information Systems
• Business fluent English, additional languages are an advantage
• Ability to communicate complex topics in an easily understandable way
• Distinct service orientation, ability to work in a team, efficient prioritization of tasks, willingness to travel
