Duties

• Works alone or in a group performing a variety of tasks involving the maintenance and repair of recreational grounds, buildings and structures, and appurtenant fixtures.
• Duties require the use of trade practices associated with carpentry and painting as well as work involving motor vehicle operations.
• Must have a working knowledge of wood working techniques and basic shop mathematics.
• Must be skilled in use and operation of common hand and power tools and measuring devices of the carpentry and painting trades to perform a variety of tasks.
• Must have a knowledge of standard surface preparation and coating methods and techniques.

• A one-year probationary period may be required.
• Possesses satisfactory completion of pre-employment background checks in accordance with AR 215-3, 2-13, to include a Tier 1 background investigation.
• This position may require a health screening due to the lifting requirement of 40lbs. Immunizations may be required as a condition of employment for the health and safety of those in the facility.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a US Army Certificate of license.
