Let's connect: If you want to experience how things are done in the L&H Northern and Central Europe team in Hannover / Germany, join us on a permanent basis commencing in 2025 as a Managing Director Life and Health Continental Europe and Latin America.

Your primary responsibility is to lead Hannover Re L&H teams in Hannover, Milan, Madrid and Mexico with strategic vision and expertise. In doing so, you will position Hannover Re to maximise the profit potential from these markets and fully benefit from the growth potential across these exciting regions

You can look forward to

Leading the teams to achieve high engagement and performance at all levels
Working with the L&H teams in Hannover and the local offices to develop and implement a L&H strategy for each market, in alignment with the group strategy and the global L&H strategy
Ensuring the development, pricing, onboarding and management of L&H business in Continental Europe and Latin America with a focus on sustainable profits
Creating and maintaining an environment of respect and trust across the regions
Ensuring excellent collaboration with the various group functions in the Hannover office and with other Hannover Re offices where necessary
Building and maintaining trustful relationships with local regulatory bodies, the external auditors and other stakeholders

You come equipped with

At least 10 years Life & Health experience in senior industry roles including significant experience in reinsurance underwriting and marketing
Excellent leadership skills proven in senior managerial roles as well as a proven track record of developing and motivating high performing teams
A strong ability to define a strategy and vision, and to empower and guide others to achieve common goals
A strong knowledge of global and local trends that will impact the markets in Continental Europa and Latin America
Experience in harnessing the power of data and technology to innovate and drive positive change
Excellent English and Spanish language skills and strong communication skills across all stakeholder groups
