Zenjob is on the mission to become the digital staffing platform delivering companies best staffing experience with the highest flexibility and reliability, and workers the best choice and fair pay for side jobs. Our service is available in over 39 cities in Germany. Our growth financing round of $50 million (€45 million) from February 2022 is helping us to scale our platform and add new data-based automation features for our rapidly growing customer base.

What you'll be doing:

As a Staff Engineer, you'll play a crucial role in our organization. Your influence will extend to the future architecture of the Zenjob product, laying down the foundation for scalable and robust solutions. By spending time on hands-on coding, you'll build empathy and insight into the day-to-day challenges faced by our team, fostering an environment of understanding and mutual respect. You will also:

• Lead the development and deployment of scalable, reliable, and high-performance systems.
• Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration and operation of platform services
• Drive the adoption of cutting-edge technologies and best practices, initiating change within our engineering organization that impacts the lives of all engineers.
• Mentor and guide engineers, fostering a culture of learning and continuous improvement.
• Engage in hands-on coding to maintain a deep understanding of the codebase and the challenges faced by the team.

What you'll bring:

• A passion for leading and mentoring engineers, inspiring them to reach their full potential.
• Exceptional problem-solving skills, with the ability to simplify complex technical issues for diverse stakeholders.
• A strong preference for industry-standard technologies, steering the team towards dependable and proven solutions
• Proficiency in working across various tech stacks, primarily focused on AWS and Java, with the capability to contribute to Frontend and Mobile development
• Excellent communication skills, ensuring clear and effective dialogue within the team and with external partners
