As Senior Product Manager you like working with external clients, the open-source community, and internal colleagues alike. You will be the go-to person for any product-related topic of our Cloud offering, from technical to business topics.Our products are both traditional software and as-a-service offerings, often at the core of a client’s data environment but increasingly also up in the Cloud. We are also looking around us augmenting our stack and ecosystem of offerings and partners.You are (or will become) an expert in building and designing solutions using distributed data processing systems, learn how customers use them and make decisions on what we will develop next. You set and communicate your product’s strategy, you research users, customers, and stakeholder’s needs to improve your product over time.And when you are not working with our products, there are plenty of opportunities at Ververica to learn more about Flink, contribute to the products and open-source projects, and help evangelizing to users around the world.Key Responsibilities:Product Leadership: Lead the development of innovative cloud-based products and features that address the evolving needs of our customers in the stream processing and analytics space.Strategic Thinking: Develop and execute a long-term strategy for our products, aligning with company goals and market trends.Cloud Expertise: Leverage your strong cloud skills to drive the development of scalable, secure, and high-performance cloud-based solutions.Distributed Systems & Big Data: Utilize your deep understanding of distributed system processing and big data technologies to shape the product roadmap.Commercial Acumen: Take ownership of the commercial aspects of our products, including pricing strategies, market positioning, and go-to-market plans.Collaboration: Work closely with engineering, sales, and marketing teams to ensure successful product launches and customer adoption.Customer Focus: Engage with customers to understand their pain points and requirements, translating them into actionable product features.

Qualifications:Experience: 7+ years of experience in product management, with a strong background in cloud technologies and distributed systems.Big Data Expertise: Proven experience with big data technologies such as Apache Flink, Apache Spark, Kafka, or similar systems.Cloud Platforms: Hands-on experience with cloud platforms like AWS, Google Cloud, or Azure.Strategic Mindset: Ability to think strategically and translate market trends into product opportunities.Commercial Savvy: Strong understanding of product pricing, positioning, and overall commercial aspects of product management.Technical Proficiency: Background in software engineering or a related technical field is a plus.Leadership: Proven track record of leading cross-functional teams to deliver high-impact products.Bonus Points:Apache Flink: Familiarity with Apache Flink is highly desirable.Startup Experience: Experience working in a fast-paced startup environment is a plus.
