Job Description

The primary job responsibilities of the Buyer are to develop and execute merchandising strategies that maximize sales, margin, inventory turnover and visual presentation. It will be essential as a part of this role to manage excellent vendor relationships, negotiate payments terms and conditions with existing as well as new suppliers and ensure the right mix of product.

Key Responsibilities:
Develops buy strategy, selection and manage OTB

Generates data, creates selling reports and makes recommendations based on the performance by store in order to analyze and communicate business performance.

Analyzes color, size, class and division selling to provide feedback and takes action in order to improve business as well as future purchasing decisions.

Sources and selects relevant new brands and partnerships

Maintains excellent vendor relationships and execute negotiations to a high level

Has a proven awareness of all fashion and market trends, new brands, designers and market influence

Is an efficient stock trader, optimizing and driving the best results for business both in season and at the end of the season

Conducts all buying appointments and meetings both in Greece and overseas

Implements any other reasonable ad hoc task as requested by the management

Skills & Requirements:
5 years of related professional experience

Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing/Business/Retail Merchandising or related field

Must have experience managing budget upwards of 1m€

Experienced working with multi-label and multi-category , women’s wear, menswear, sportswear and kidswear

Is able to influence and defend point of view

Analyzes problems timely and effectively

Strong working relationships and communication skills both internally and externally

Ability to work in a team and on own initiative

Excellent judgment and decision making skills

Discreet, professional, well spoken with a collaborative approach to work

High level of market awareness and fashion trends

Highly proficient in English language

High proficiency in MS Word, Excel and Outlook

Must be willing to travel; Travel required 10%
