Chief Build Engineer (HPC infrastructure)

It is expected the person in this role will work closely with the team members and business stakeholders to maintain, develop and continuously improve the stability and performance of the HPC Infrastructure and ensure Gx P compliance.
The remote option applies only to the Candidates who will be working from any location in Greece.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Coordinating and supervising team of 3 HPC infrastructure engineers
- Prioritization, decomposition and distribution of technical tasks within the team
- Planning HPC roadmap in collaboration with Novartis internal team and 3rd party teams
- Providing leadership and expertise to support HPC infrastructure in compliance with all Gx P requirements
- Ensuring HPC infrastructure is properly documented according to Gx P requirements
- Participation in engineering and support activities
REQUIREMENTS
- 7+ years of relevant work experience
- 2+ years of relevant leadership experience
- Experience architecting and configuring HPC
- Proficient Linux (any rpm based) including kernel modules compilation, debugging tools (strace, coredump, tcpdump, etc.)
- Job schedulers (IBM LSF, Slurm) knowledge
- Bright Cluster Manager including installation and configuring
- GPFS/Lustre filesystems skills
- Infini Band/Omni Path network interconnect
- B2+ English level proficiency
NICE TO HAVE
- Experience with hardware: diagnostics, upgrade, tuning (HCA Infini Band, disk arrays - Lustre, Vast, IBM, servers Dell+HP)
- Infrastructure monitoring (Zabbix, Splunk, Grafana, etc)
- Easybuild knowledge
- Experience working in Gx P environment
- Jira, Service Now skills
