Title : Cyber Engineer
Base location : Athens-Koropi, Greece
We can offer a hybrid approach to office and remote working. We would expect 3 or 4 days per week as the standard days on Athens-Koropi site.
High level objectives of the position:
-
Thales Hellas’ cyber team member.
-
Participate on Thales Hellas cyber lab’s growth through training & other cyber business offerings.
-
Be part of Cyber related R&D programs.
Responsibilities:
-
Design, development, and implementation of cybersecurity solutions and services in complex environments.
-
Conduct security assessments and vulnerability testing to identify and remediate security risks in systems and applications of external stakeholders.
-
Design, implement, and maintain security controls, including firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems (IDS/IPS), and endpoint security solutions.
-
Develop and maintain security automation tools and scripts to improve efficiency and effectiveness of cyber security.
-
Perform Cyber Security trainings (in various levels and profiles) and provide security guidance and recommendations to external stakeholders.
Qualifications:
-
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field (Master's degree a plus).
-
Minimum 3+ years of experience in a Cybersecurity engineering or related role.
-
Knowledge of implementation of Digital Twins will be considered as a plus.
-
Knowledge of SOAR tools (Security Orchestration, Automation, and Response).
-
Knowledge of software—security information and event management (SIEM) products, intrusion detection systems (IDS), and intrusion prevention systems (IPS).
-
Knowledge of security best practices & industry standards and experience with security technologies.
-
Knowledge in conducting security assessments and penetration testing will be considered as a plus.

Multi-level communication skills, self-motivated with demonstrated problem-solving capability.

Proficiency in the English language. Greek speaking will be desirable, but not mandatory.
