Your role and responsibilities
We are looking for an accomplished and driven Head of Sales – Marine Systems to join our team. This role is perfect for a person with substantial experience in the marine market and proven success working with clients in this sector. As the Head of Regional Sales in Greece, you will be responsible for defining, developing, and executing an effective sales strategy within your designated market scope to boost ABB Marine & Ports’ market penetration and achieve our growth objectives. This position is located in Athens, Greece. The work model for the role is hybrid: #LI-hybrid • Developing and maintaining an impactful sales strategy within the assigned regional area, ensuring alignment with global or regional market scopes. • Building and maintaining strong relationships with key clients and stakeholders, with a particular focus on ship owners as the primary client group. • Leading the planning and execution of sales strategies to achieve qualitative and quantitative sales targets for products, systems, and services, supporting sustainable order growth and profitability. • Monitoring sales performance consistently, identifying opportunities and implementing corrective measures proactively to foster business growth. • Driving market share growth, enhancing sales productivity, and ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction. • Collaborating with ABB Marine Systems Global Sales team ensure success worldwide with the regional stakeholders. • Analyzing market trends, customer needs, and competitor activities to inform strategic decisions and maintain a competitive edge.
Qualifications for the role

  • Extensive experience in sales and business development, with a strong background in the marine market.
  • Proven track record of achieving and exceeding sales targets and fostering business growth.
  • Exceptional leadership skills.
  • Strategic thinker with the ability to develop and implement comprehensive sales plans.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with clients and stakeholders at all levels, particularly ship owners.
  • Experience in monitoring sales metrics, analyzing performance, and making data-driven decisions.
  • Ability to adapt quickly to market changes and adjust strategies to remain competitive.
  • Proficiency in English, Greek language is considered as plus.
