A day in the life as an Information Risk Management (IRM) Consultant / IT Auditor:
Reporting to Technology Advisory & Digital Assurance Manager the successful candidate will participate in challenging and demanding Digital assurance and IT Risk Consulting engagements and support Project Manager/ Director to ensure high quality delivery on time and within the project budget. Typical responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
- Participating in IT Audits performed as part of financial audit engagements for clients from various industry sectors.
- Participating in IT Audits performed in support of Internal Audits (Co/ Outsourcing).
- Being a member of a team specializing in D&A (Data & Analytics) procedures that are performed in the context of financial audits and other assurance and forensic engagements.
- Conducting digital controls reviews, IT & Cyber Sec Risk Assessments and attestations mainly in compliance with various regulatory frameworks and industry standards.
- Being involved in controls optimizations and post implementation review engagements regarding ERP and other core enterprise systems (e.g. SAP ERP) and digital transformation initiatives. Providing technical guidance to clients with respect to IT controls design and implementation to mitigate both IT/ Cyber Sec and process-level risks.
- Presenting and communicating status and issues to project manager and client management.
- Preparing workpapers as well as draft and final versions of reports and other engagement deliverables.
- Being involved in strategic and tactical initiatives related to new service offerings.
- Consulting with clients to understand and address their needs.
- Bachelor's degree is required. Major in Business Computing/ Information Technology/ Information Security or Finance/ Accounting / Internal Audit or a related field with a Computing, Information Technology and /or Technology Risk Management focus is preferred.
- Minimum 1-2 years of hands-on experience in IT Auditing, Information Risk Management, Cyber Security, Internal Controls review/ design/ Implementation and/ or relevant areas.
- Good knowledge of generally accepted GRC, IT Governance, Controls and audit frameworks as well as IT security & risk assurance standards such as: Cobi T, ISO 2700x, ISAE 3402/ SOC1/ SOC2, ITIL etc.
- Excellent report writing skills
- Excellent communications and interpersonal skills
- Experience in using SQL and D&A methods and tools will be considered an asset.
- Knowledge of ERP systems functionality, preferably SAP ERP, will be considered an asset.
- Any related professional qualification (i.e. CISA, CISM, CIA, CISSP etc.) or eligibility to sit for the exam.
