We are looking for a Junior PHP Software Engineer to join our e Front team. The ideal candidate will have some experience in PHP development and a willingness to learn and grow within a dynamic development environment. You will work closely with fellow developers, as well as our product and design teams, to ensure our applications are secure, customizable, and user-friendly.
Over the past two years, the e Front team has modernized our platform by adopting new technologies and optimizing our codebase. We transitioned from a legacy MVC pattern to a client-server architecture with REST API design principles, emphasizing SOLID principles and unit tests for quality and reliability. On the front-end, we moved from Bootstrap and j Query to Vue JS and Tailwind CSS, writing componentized, maintainable code. These efforts enhance security, scalability, and performance while introducing new features to improve the user experience.

Responsibilities
As a Junior PHP Software Engineer, you will:
- Work in compact, autonomous, product-driven teams, alongside fellow backend, frontend, and QA engineers.
- Participate in pairs, mobs, technical discussions, and brainstorming sessions.
- Help us continue modernizing the product and keep moving forward towards new technologies.
- Actively participate in how each new feature is designed, developed, and delivered.
- Write modern PHP code following industry standard best practices, with mentorship and support.
- Participate in code reviews to ensure high-quality code and continuous improvement.
To be successful in this role as a Junior PHP Software Engineer, you should:
- 1-3 years of experience in modern PHP development.
- Have an understanding of PHP and My SQL development, as well as Object-Oriented Programming (OOP), with some hands-on experience.
- Be eager to learn and adopt modern PHP practices.
- Quality-focused, with a strong attention to detail, eager to learn and excel.
- A true team player; you thrive in collaborative environments.
- Open to giving and receiving feedback regularly.
- A can-do attitude; you do what it takes to get the job done.
