Accountant

Gerolymatos International AEBE presently requires an Accountant to join our team and support the daily accounting and financial operations of our company.

Main responsibilities

Accurately enter and maintain accounting entries within the company’s ledgers in compliance with Greek GAAP and IFRS.

Oversee and process vendor and supplier invoices, ensuring adherence to tax regulations and utilizing the My Data platform for compliance.

Monitor and manage accounts payable, ensuring timely payments and maintaining effective vendor relationships.

Perform regular reconciliations of company bank accounts, verifying transaction accuracy and resolving discrepancies.

Help with additional accounting and financial tasks as required to support team objectives.

Ensure proper organization and filing of all related accounting documentation for easy access and compliance.

Job Requirements

Bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance, Economics or another appropriate academic major.

5+ years of working experience in accounting department is mandatory.

Good knowledge of Accounting Standards (GAAP & IFRS), Greek General Chart of Accounts & Tax Legislation

Accounting License B’ and above

Excellent use of accounting software and MS Office (especially Excel)

Analytical thinking and attention to detail

Problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure.

Teamwork and collaboration skills

Good knowledge of the English language
