Position Overview
This role as a Project Manager is placed in the Project Management Organization (PMO) within our Customer Services department. PMO is responsible for managing all projects within the Customer Services department specializing in automation and tech development projects & implementations. As part of the PMO, you will manage 2-3 large projects or several small to medium sized interrelated projects requiring complex cross-functional collaboration and management at program level.
Responsibilities:
- Determine and define project scope and objectives.
- Gather requirements and procure sign off.
- Cost-Benefit Analysis for each phase of the project in order to prioritize implementation.
- Work close with our Product teams to predict resources and timelines needed to complete the project.
- Create and manage project plans; monitor and review project progress & timelines and identify and resolve issues to ensure project success.
- Provide project updates on a consistent basis to various stakeholders about progress, risks/ issues, adjustments and mitigating actions.
- Utilize best practices and Travel Operations knowledge throughout project execution to continuously improve deliverables.
- Leverage expertise to drive business process improvements.
- Collaborate with the Customer Services, Product and other internal teams throughout the project.
- Bachelor &/or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Business Administration, Project Management, or relevant fields.
- 3-4 years of direct Project management experience.
- Previous experience in the Travel Industry, specially working with airfare and air rules, would be an asset.
- Strong familiarity with MS office, specially Excel & Power Point and PM Tools.
- Familiar with end to end process mapping for projects.
- Demonstrated project leadership skills.
- Excellent analytical & effective interpersonal skills.
- Proven ability to complete projects according to outlined scope, budget, and timeline.
- PMP or PRINCE2 certification preferred but not mandatory.
