Responsibilities
We are looking for a Risk Control Section Manager to ensure that risks are properly identified, measured, monitored, and managed. In addition, to control the market/financial risk and the enterprise risk according to the relevant EMF policies, the Risk Management Guide, and the Risk Mandates. Responsible also to help Top Management maintain a risk profile that corresponds to the company’s Business Plan and risk appetite (using also appropriate risk quantification techniques).
- Assists in the development and coordinates the processes to identify and evaluate the risks from all business areas through conducting risk control self-assessments.
- Prepares and updates the company’s Risk Register.
- Determines the contribution of each risk to the aggregate risk profile.
- Prioritizes risks comparing the results of risk analysis with the established risk criteria and helps determine the required actions to prevent and mitigate risks.
- Reviews and monitors risk mitigation and corrective actions.
- Assists in the development of a Risk Appetite framework methodology to support appetite-setting by Top Management.
- Performs the analysis needed for the selection of the appropriate risk strategies along with the respective risk limits to be submitted for approval to the Risk & Internal Control Committee.
- Assists in the design, development and maintenance of the appropriate risk models to quantify risks, including calibration and creation of probability distributions of outcomes for each material risk.
- Performs risk analysis of impact and likelihood, risk integration reflecting correlations and portfolio effects, and the formulation of the results in terms of impact on the organization’s key performance metrics.
- Coordinates the process for the drafting of the appropriate Risk Mandates and establish/update the relevant risk control procedures.
- Monitors risk and the performance of risk management strategies on an ongoing basis using risk tools, & models.
- Prepares risk related reporting for the Management and the Risk & Internal Committee.
- Performs regular tests on the effectiveness of the applied hedging strategies and various sensitivity analysis and stress tests.
- BSc in Finance, Engineering, Statistics or Mathematics
- MSc in Finance, Risk Management, Statistics or Mathematics will be highly desirable
- Minimum 6-10 years of working experience in finance or risk control
- Excellent understanding of assurance, risk and internal control methodologies and practices
- Professional Certifications related to Risk Management would be a strong asset
- Excellent user of MS Office Suite, with specialization in MS Excel and programming
- Excellent command of the English language, both written and oral
- Strong quantitative, analytic, modelling, pricing, and risk management skills
- Advanced analytical skills and project management skills
- Ability to communicate effectively across multiple teams and functions
