Accounting Manager

Our client, a well-established company in the Oil and Gas industry, seeks to recruit an Accounting Manager.
Main responsibilities
Main responsibilities
- Organising and overseeing the proper functioning of the accounting department
- Monitoring and managing the accounting division
- Organising and supervising accounting services and tasks
- Preparing annual and periodic financial statements and reports, whether required by law or company management
- Participating in monthly and quarterly reporting
- Supervising property costing evaluating production and operational costs
- Controlling and monitoring expenses
- Communicating with banks and public authorities as needed
- Carrying out of accounting procedures related to tax authorities’ liabilities (VAT, Social Security, Chambers of Commerce etc)
- Participates in internal audit procedures
- Communicates with other departments of the company with the aim of improving existing procedures and implementing best practices
- BSc in Economics, Accounting, Finance or related field
- MSc in Economics, Accounting, Finance or related field will be considered as an asset
- At least 5 years of proven experience as Accounting Manager, Chief Accountant or Accounting Supervisor
- Experience in Industrial sector and/or multinational organisation is a plus
- Experience in management accounting and internal reporting
- Experience in issuing periodic financial and commercial reports
- Holder of A’ class signatory rights
- In-depth knowledge of Greek GAAP, IFRS, Accounting & Tax legislation
- Good knowledge of ERP systems
- Excellent knowledge of MS Office
- Excellent command of the English language, both written and oral
- People management and leadership skills
- Excellent communication skills with a collaborative spirit
- Methodical thinking with attention to detail
- Strong administrative and organizational skills
- Ability to take initiative
