About the Job
As a Java Backend Developer, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining the backend components of the Web-based client for a mainframe capacity planning application. The main functionality of the client is to deliver various reports based on the data collected by the application. You’ll collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including front-end developers, product managers, and quality assurance engineers, to deliver high-quality features that meet our clients’ needs.


Principal responsibilities:

• Design and implement reporting services to create, manage, and deliver reports. These reports can be in various formats, such as PDF, Excel, HTML, or even interactive dashboards.
• Implement RESTful APIs, data processing pipelines, and database interactions.
• Optimize performance and ensure efficient data retrieval and processing.
• Collaborate with frontend developers to integrate backend functionality seamlessly.

Qualifications:

• Have +5 years of experience with Java development
• Fluent and confident using version control software Git
• Strong understanding of RESTful APIs, microservices architecture, and database design.
• Familiarity with Spring Framework (Spring Boot, Spring Data, Spring MVC).
• Knowledge of JDBC and SQL.
• Can bring your experience to the table when the team is making fundamental decisions about our products
• Have excellent English verbal and written skills
