ICAP Executive Search , on behalf of its client, a leading Greek company in the electrical equipment, building technology products, and energy management solutions sector , is seeking to recruit a driven and experienced Senior Accounting Manager .

Senior Accounting Manager (Ref. 5686/SAM/ESS/GR)

The Senior Accounting Manager will oversee all accounting operations across the organization, enhancing the company's ability to closely monitor its financial health and maintain effective control measures.

He/she will lead the accounting team and drive financial operations to the next level, providing assistance to the CFO with any financial decisions processes.

The Role:
Τake the Lead: Oversee daily accounting operations, ensuring full compliance with local tax regulations and IFRS, and steering the team towards excellence.

Inspire & Develop: Mentor and develop a talented team of accountants, fostering a culture of innovation, growth, and continuous improvement.

Innovate: Champion process improvements by leveraging the SAP system or the use of RPAs to boost productivity and minimize risks.

Own the Numbers: Manage VAT reconciliations and payments to tax and social insurance authorities and collaborate with tax advisors to ensure the company’s financial health is always top-notch.

Be a Key Player: Provide strategic support on accounting and tax matters, helping the stores focus on delivering exceptional customer experiences.

Candidate’s Profile:
Expertise: A degree in Economics, Accounting, or Finance, with at least 4-5 years of experience in senior accounting roles, ideally within the Retail sector. MSc or ACCA is a plus.

Professional signatory rights: A class

Technical Skills: In-depth knowledge of IFRS and Greek GAAP, along with hands-on experience with SAP ERP and MS Office.

Leadership: Proven track record in managing and developing high-performing teams.

Vision: Strong analytical skills and the ability to see the bigger picture, driving strategic decisions.

Proactive Approach: A go-getter mindset with a passion for continuous learning and staying ahead of industry trends.
