The School of Graduate Studies is established for strengthening the central support for postgraduate programmes as well as the monitoring of their quality in alignment with the University's strategic direction of expanding and providing quality postgraduate education.

Responsibilities
  • Lead and coordinate administrative and secretarial tasks for students’ learning enhancement schemes and approval exercises, including direct communication with stakeholders
  • Take charge of administrative support for TPg related teaching and learning enhancement initiatives at the central level, fostering collaboration with stakeholders to ensure effective implementation
  • Undertake routine scheme monitoring to ensure ongoing scheme excellence, governance and impact, and provide quality reporting and analytical insights
  • Plan, implement and manage academic conferences, seminars and workshops
  • Organise international and local exposure activities and exchange tours
  • Take lead in publications and promotional websites and materials
  • Supervise junior colleagues in executing the aforementioned tasks
  • Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor(s)

Requirements
  • A Bachelor’s degree with major in communication, marketing and event management is preferred
  • 6 years’ post qualification experience, preferably in tertiary education institutions or NGO setting
  • Relevant experience in managing scaled event management and running hybrid-mode activities
  • Excellent coordination, organizational and interpersonal skills
  • An excellent command of written and verbal English and Chinese (including Putonghua)
  • The ability to take the initiative and to carry out duties independently and under tight schedules
  • A strong sense of responsibility and accountability
  • Good supervisory skills, with the ability to motivate junior colleagues to achieve common goals of the School and the University
  • Proficiency in IT & computer skills, e.g Microsoft Office, Zoom application and Design software
  • Relevant work experience in tertiary education or NGO setting is preferred

Candidates with less/more experience will also be considered for appointment at a relevant rank.

Salary and Fringe Benefits
The rank and commencing salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience. Fringe benefits, where applicable, include annual leave, medical and dental benefits, mandatory provident fund and gratuity.
