Role Introduction

Reports To: Cargo Security and Compliance Manager
Responsible for policies, standards, procedures and compliance program of customs, sanction and partnerships related matters.
Manage the CSD Library, subscribe and distribute IATA cargo related publication.
Act as a supporting function and role to administer the implementation of cargo security initiatives and procedures when required.
Key Responsibilities

• Develop policies, standards, procedures and compliance program of customs, sanction and partnerships related matters.
• Work with internal and external stakeholders on developing cargo customs procedures and identify customs data requirement and propose system enhancement relating to regulatory compliance.
• Publish, update and maintain the handling procedures of Pre-Loading Advance Cargo Information (PLACI) conforming to requirements as set by customs and applicable authorities of different countries.
• Publish and maintain cargo handling procedures manuals and documents of partnership related matters.
• Maintain CSD Library, subscribe and distribute IATA cargo related publications. Provide quarterly update of IATA TACT Rules.
• Provide necessary support to administer the implementation of cargo security initiatives and programmes when required.
• Deputize for the Cargo Security and Compliance Manager as required.

Education qualifications

• Tertiary education qualifications or above.

Experiences

• Minimum 5 years’ airline cargo industry experience with at least 3 years’ supervisory experience.

Job related knowledge

• Sound cargo services & operations knowledge and project management skill, and familiar to international regulations (e.g. customs and sanction).
• Proficiency in MS Office applications (Word, Excel and Power Point).

Skills and language requirements

• Self-motivated and possess the ability to lead and motivate cross-functional teams.
• Polished communication and interpersonal skills, and able to interact with people at all levels with different cultural background.
• Excellent business acumen with analytical, planning and problem solving skills.
• Independent and detail-oriented.
• Able to work under pressure and to tight deadlines.
• Excellent command of both spoken and written English. Fluent Cantonese and Mandarin is an advantage.
