Roles and Responsibilities
As an Operations Associate, you will be essential to our team, responsible for:

• Gaining a thorough understanding of CIGP’s operational workflow and executing daily tasks with the team.
• Booking trades, corporate actions, and other transactions in our Portfolio Management System (PMS).
• Maintaining daily Marked-to-Market valuations within the PMS.
• Instructing trade settlements with various custodian banks.
• Collaborating with external financial counterparties (e.g., brokers, custodians) to ensure smooth trade settlement processes.
• Performing daily reconciliations of cash and securities positions between client accounts and bank statements, along with monthly securities reconciliations.
• Sending trade confirmations and statements to CIGP’s clients through our proprietary system and preparing corporate action notes.
• Generating various reports on a weekly, monthly, and quarterly basis as needed.
• Monitoring CIGP’s exposure to financial counterparties.
• Engaging daily with the Front Office team to address ad-hoc requests and resolve potential issues promptly.
• Working closely with overseas offices (e.g., Geneva) on various projects as required.

Additional Responsibilities and Job Evolution

• Establishing new brokerage and custody relationships and markets as needed.
• Actively participating in the enhancement and optimization of trading execution, booking, and settlement processes.

Skills and Requirements

• At least 3 years of experience in the Middle or Back Office of a financial institution (both profiles will be considered).
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Power Point); advanced Excel skills, including VBA, are advantageous.
• Persistent with a positive problem-solving mindset.
• Quick learner with a strong curiosity to understand operational processes, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently under tight deadlines.
• Fluent in English; proficiency in additional languages is a plus.
• An international background (work and/or study abroad) is preferred.
