Associate/VP, CF&A Relationship Manager

Job Profile Summary
Commodity, Food & Agri (CF&A) is a sector coverage business within ING's Wholesale Bank that is responsible for covering clients in Trade and Commodities (TCF), Food, Agriculture & Beverage (FB&A) and Metals, Mining & Fertilizer (MMF). It is a global business with teams in APAC, EMEA and the Americas. The CF&A sector comprises clients in the entire commodity value chain from producers, processers, traders and distributers. This team provides coverage and delivery of client solutions by leveraging on the ING Differentiators - Sector Expertise, Global Network, Sustainability Pioneer.
This is a Relationship Manger role in Hong Kong and reports to the CF&A Head in North Asia.
Job Responsibilities:
- Function as a global account manager for North Asia based clients and local account manager for inbound Bank's clients.
- Responsible for setting account strategy, driving business, meeting financial targets and managing risks.
- Maintain strong knowledge of industry trends, banking products and relevant regulations in order to understand the business of Bank's clients and energy transition developments.
- Manage end to end credit approval process, deal execution and portfolio monitoring.
- Collaborate with product partners, cross-sector/region account managers and internal stakeholders (Risk, Legal, Compliance, Operations among others) to deliver the full suite of banking services to clients.
- Ensure compliance with Bank's policies/procedures and regulatory requirements, including Know- Your-Client requirements.
What we are looking for:
- Degree holder in Business/Finance or other relevant disciplines.
- Ability to write and communicate fluently in English and Mandarin.
- 5+ years of relevant working experience in the financial services sector.
- Good knowledge of trade finance and/or commodity financing industry will be an advantage.
- Motivated, entrepreneurial with a high degree of commercial drive and initiative to grow the business.
- Can do attitude, able to work independently and multi-task.
- Team player who has the ability to build effective working relationships with clients and colleagues.
