Job Summary:
The role involves defining and documenting requirements and performing gap analysis for the purpose of the development of new IT systems and the improvement of existing IT systems. To qualify for this role, the candidate should have a solid history as a Business Analyst, with strong project management skills in a financial services sector. The ideal candidate will have experience in delivering projects in a fast-paced and demanding environment within a tight deadline.

Job Duties:

We are looking for a skilled Business Analyst who can perform hands on analysis work to join our team to assist projects develop and improve IT systems that support the Listing operations.

Responsibilities:

• Deliver projects/initiatives for Listing Division, and work closely with different project stakeholders across teams.
• Analyze business needs, evaluate solution options, drive and lead the business solution.
• Prepare structured requirements documents / user stories, functional specification, end-to-end process flows and use cases.
• Ensure HKEX IT teams and third party consultants understand the business needs so that they can develop solutions to meet them.
• Help define testing strategies and plans, support testing activities, analyze and communicate test outcomes and train end users on the system.
• Coordinate with internal users, external business parties, relevant statutory bodies and Listed companies.
• Ensure project delivery is on time and meets project scope and expectation.
• Provide prompt system support to internal users
• Perform other IT related tasks as assigned

Requirements:

• Computer Science, MIS, IT or related discipline degree.
• Minimum 9 years of experience as a business analyst, systems analyst or similar roles in well-established financial institutions or client-facing web application projects.
• Ability to collect requirements from stakeholders, design effective UI/UX solutions, and convert them into actionable plans.
• Practical experience in Vendor & IT management, from project initiation to delivery.
• Solid organizational and project management skills under both waterfall and agile methodologies, with knowledge of best practices and documentation.
• Preferably familiar with the equity securities industry and financial industry.
• Preferably experienced in AI related projects.
• Excellent technology, analytical, communication, and problem solving skills.
• Proficient in written and spoken English and Chinese.
