To succeed in this role, you should be a seasoned sales professional with a proven track record in B2B industries. You’ll need tenacity, drive, commercial awareness, and the ability to persuade key contacts, understand client needs, and match those needs with effective solutions. Strong networking and organizational skills, along with a deep understanding of end-user procurement dynamics, are essential, as you will often engage with multiple stakeholders both internally and externally.
In this role, you will report to our General Manager in Hong Kong and collaborate with our technical teams.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist the General Manager in developing and implementing the company's business development strategy, focusing on market expansion and revenue growth.
- Identify and engage with key stakeholders, including architects, consultants, system integrators, and end-users, to promote our electronic access control solutions.
- Generate sales with new and existing clients across various vertical markets.
- Analyze business cases, understand customer needs, and propose suitable smart locking solutions to end users.
- Build and maintain a robust revenue pipeline, demonstrating bi-weekly growth, and maintain activity levels with meaningful progress, including calls, meetings, and follow-ups.
- Create and execute a sales plan that includes unit, revenue, and cost targets.
- Research and develop a strong prospect list.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with end users and partners to identify new business opportunities.
- Work with marketing teams to develop and execute marketing campaigns supporting sales initiatives.
- Attend industry events and conferences to network with potential customers and stay current on industry developments.
- Collaborate with regional and global teams to leverage resources and ensure consistent brand messaging and customer experience.
- Perform any projects or ad-hoc duties as assigned.
- Proven ability to work independently within a close-knit team, delivering strong personal results while supporting team goals for sales, expenses, and profits.
- Experience making sales and technical presentations at board level, engaging with stakeholders such as architects, interior designers, system integrators, and consultants.
- Ideally, experience in the electronic lock and/or locker market across one or more verticals. Experience in delivering high-quality design and technology solutions through interior fit-outs, combined with successful sales experience, is also advantageous.
- Analytical with a logical, pragmatic approach to solution design.
- Ability to digest and communicate new hardware and software developments concisely, focusing on the client's needs.
- Ability to assimilate new product information and provide support to distributors, business partners, and end users on the operational benefits of new hardware and functionality.
- Bachelor’s degree in Science, Engineering, Business Administration, Information Technology, or a closely related field.
- Dual technical and commercial competencies recommended.
- Minimum of 3 years of technology-related business development experience.
- Strong connections with project developers, property management, facilities operations, designers, architects, contractors, sub-contractors, door makers, and system integrators are preferred.
- Basic knowledge of Salesforce platform capabilities.
- Strong MS Word, Excel, Power Point, and Adobe Acrobat skills.
- Strong interpersonal skills, with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Fluent in both written and spoken Cantonese and English.
- Ability to learn, be curious, and act independently in a fast-paced, multi-task-driven environment.
- Preferred Experience: Experience in the verticals of Hospitality, Co-living, Co-working, or Education is preferred.
