Key Responsibilities:

• Category Strategy Development:

Assist in crafting and implementing category strategies aimed at maximizing sales, market share, and profitability.
Contribute to both short- and long-term planning based on market research and company objectives.
Manage and refine the 5Ps of marketing within assigned categories to enhance market presence and drive growth.

• Market Research:

Continuously conduct market research to gain a deep understanding of consumer behavior, competitive activities, and emerging trends.
Leverage insights to forecast market shifts and recommend changes to category and product strategies.

• Product Assortment & Lifecycle Management:

Oversee product assortments for designated categories, ensuring alignment with consumer preferences and market demands.
Support product selection and evaluation processes to optimize category offerings.
Manage the entire product lifecycle—from ideation and development to product launch.
Contribute to promotional and marketing efforts to boost category appeal and visibility.

• Sales & Performance Analysis:

Analyze sales data and market trends to evaluate category performance.
Prepare in-depth reports, presentations, and actionable insights to inform strategy adjustments and enhance product performance.

• Cross-Functional Collaboration:

Collaborate closely with category management, merchandising, sales, design, and product development teams to ensure cohesive execution of category strategies.

• Vendor & Stakeholder Relations:

Support vendor negotiations and foster relationships with suppliers and external partners to ensure competitive pricing and product availability.
Requirements:

• Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and perform statistical analysis.
• Experience in conducting market research.
• Solid understanding of category management principles and the retail landscape.
• Excellent organizational and project management skills, capable of juggling multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong communication skills, with the ability to present complex data in a clear and compelling manner.
• Creative problem solver with a proactive and resourceful approach.
• Highly organized and detail-oriented.
• Advanced proficiency in Excel and Power Point.
• Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, or a related field.
• At least 2-3 years of relevant experience.
• Prior experience in the toy, games, or consumer goods industry is preferred.
• Familiarity with Western markets and cultures, with a strong understanding of consumer preferences, market trends, and competitive dynamics.
• Experience working in multicultural environments.
• Proficient in spoken and written English; fluency in an additional language such as French, Spanish, or German is a plus.

Pay: $35,000.00 - $50,000.00 per month
