Junior Category Manager (HK)

Our client is a leading company that supplies some of the largest retail groups across Europe, North America, and Asia. Headquartered in Hong Kong, with offices and production facilities throughout China, they specialize in producing a wide range of products, including board games, kids’ action games, battery-operated games, arcade and carnival games, licensed games, tabletop games, sports games, game tables, poker and casino games, and puzzles. As the company continues to grow rapidly, they are seeking talented, innovative, and creative individuals to join their team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Category Strategy Development:
Contribute to both short- and long-term planning based on market research and company objectives.
Manage and refine the 5Ps of marketing within assigned categories to enhance market presence and drive growth.
- Market Research:
Leverage insights to forecast market shifts and recommend changes to category and product strategies.
- Product Assortment & Lifecycle Management:
Support product selection and evaluation processes to optimize category offerings.
Manage the entire product lifecycle—from ideation and development to product launch.
Contribute to promotional and marketing efforts to boost category appeal and visibility.
- Sales & Performance Analysis:
Prepare in-depth reports, presentations, and actionable insights to inform strategy adjustments and enhance product performance.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration:

Requirements:
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and perform statistical analysis.
- Experience in conducting market research.
- Solid understanding of category management principles and the retail landscape.
- Excellent organizational and project management skills, capable of juggling multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to present complex data in a clear and compelling manner.
- Creative problem solver with a proactive and resourceful approach.
- Highly organized and detail-oriented.
- Advanced proficiency in Excel and Power Point.
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, or a related field.
- At least 2-3 years of relevant experience.
- Prior experience in the toy, games, or consumer goods industry is preferred.
- Familiarity with Western markets and cultures, with a strong understanding of consumer preferences, market trends, and competitive dynamics.
- Experience working in multicultural environments.
- Proficient in spoken and written English; fluency in an additional language such as French, Spanish, or German is a plus.
Pay: $35,000.00 - $50,000.00 per month
Schedule:
- Monday to Friday
