Details of the Division and Team:
Deutsche Bank Trust & Agency Services (“TAS”) group is a leading global provider of trustee, agency and depositary services to different types of issuers/clients ranging from sovereigns, state owned companies, corporate, financial institutions, insurance companies, asset managers to private equity firms; and we service on the most comprehensive range of products among all relevant industry players including public bonds, private placement bonds, MTN/CP/CD programmes, structured debts, ABSs, MBSs, Hong Kong and Singapore listed REITs, syndicated and secured loans, project finance, money and document escrows, SPAC escrows, American Depository Receipts and Global Depository Receipts.

The Implementation Team, part of Trust & Agency Services, works closely with both the specialist Sales and Client Services/Client Management teams to coordinate the onboarding of new Clients for new Transactions acting as the control center for adopting new clients to the Bank/Business.

Your key responsibilities:
  • Identify the Clients for onboarding in accordance with DB Policy and Procedures.
  • Liaise with Internal and External stakeholders to gather all relevant documentation and evidence to fully onboard the client in line with DB Policy, Procedures and regulatory requirements.
  • Liaise with the Client Service teams to complete all requirements prior to the contractual signing date.
  • Work closely with internal stakeholders to actively manage and prioritize the pipeline of new transaction.
  • Identify any specific AML and ABC requirements, coordinate with the client, AFC and other infrastructure functions to satisfy DB requirements prior to transaction execution.
  • Coordinate across locations and products for cross boarder clients/transactions.
  • Monitor the Trust and Agency Risk Appetite metrics.
  • Manage and coordinate the regional pipeline forum, including documenting minutes and recording all necessary approvals from committee members.
  • Ensure data consistency across downstream systems for new client/transaction set up.
  • Control and manage the APAC client perimeter working closely with the Global Client Perimeter control team
  • Investigate and remediate any breaks from daily and monthly KYC system reconciliations.
  • Report, manage and assist execution of all AML decisions to cease business with Trust and Agency Clients.
  • Actively manage all APAC clients in Managed Exit, report to the global NFR council and ensure internal systems are aligned.
  • Assist with the production of Client Perimeter metrics for KYC and NFR forums.
  • Work closely with the regional teams to implement and control data quality of internal systems.
  • Assist and drive regional and global projects representing the Trust and Agency Implementation team.

Your skills and experience:
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in KYC or AML with strong knowledge of TAS product and procedures scope and KYC policies.
  • Good understanding of the global financial services industry and Debt capital markets
  • Outstanding verbal and written communication skills including fluency in Cantonese, Mandarin and English to liaise with clients across the region.
  • Excellent meeting facilitation and coordination skills across all business and infrastructure functions.
  • Excellent communication skills (able to work with all levels within the organization).
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Experience in working with global, multi-region initiatives and teams
  • Highly organized, efficient, and able to work without always being directed (self-starter).
  • Able to effectively organize and prioritize workflow while managing the expectations of stakeholders.
  • Able to explain complex issues in a simple way
  • The candidate will need to be able to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment, and to be able to handle frequently changing business priorities.
  • Communication – able to create and respond to emails and phone calls in a professional manner.
