Our client’s Cross Asset Solutions desk is uniquely positioned within the Global Markets department, leveraging comprehensive trading capabilities across various asset classes. This desk utilizes a range of financial instruments to deliver holistic solutions to clients, enabling sustainable service and effective risk management across micro and macro cycles.
Responsibilities:
- Structure, price, and manage a diverse array of equity and fixed income-related structured products. This includes, but is not limited to, on/off balance sheet note issuance, repo (GMRA-based), options and swaps (ISDA-based), securities-based lending (SBL, GMSLA-based), structured financing, cross-border solutions (QDII/QFII), as well as product onboarding and distribution.
- Develop and execute cross-asset investment strategies tailored to client needs, optimizing risk-adjusted returns.
- Oversee and monitor portfolio risk and performance, making timely adjustments as needed.
- Maintain a thorough understanding of the regulatory environment to ensure compliance with applicable regulations and internal policies.
- Collaborate closely with internal stakeholders, including Sales, Middle Office, Legal, Risk, Finance, Compliance, Operations, and other front office departments, to identify market opportunities and enhance the desk’s operational efficiency and execution flow.
- Master’s degree in a relevant field, with a focus on quantitative finance preferred.
- Over 6 years of experience in a similar role on the trading floor of a reputable financial institution.
- In-depth knowledge of financial products, including but not limited to repo, Total Return Swaps (TRS), FX swaps, SBL, and structured notes (both on and off balance sheet), along with relevant accounting principles.
- Strong preference for candidates with experience in Strategic Asset Allocation.
- Exceptional communication skills, a proactive attitude, and the ability to manage multiple tasks under pressure.
- Programming skills (e.g., Python, R, MATLAB) for process automation, data analysis, and trading model development are advantageous.
- Proficiency in English, Cantonese, and Mandarin is essential.
