We are instructed on an opportunity with a global financial institution who are looking to hire a senior lawyer in Hong Kong. The firm are licensed/regulated and involved in Banking (professional clients), Crypto Lending, Crypto Trading and Custody Services. This hire will work closely alongside the CEO/COO and be responsible for ensuring the firm are compliant with relevant virtual asset and financial regulations in Asia.
The firm although still in their infancy, have seen impressive global growth. They are backed by a major player (top tier name) and have an extremely strong global leadership team. This is an excellent opportunity to be seen as one of the key hires in Asia as they firm look to build out in the region.
Candidates should ideally be 8+PQE (title is flexible and will be reflective of experience), coming from an international law firm or international financial institution with digital assets / crypto-currency experience. Hong Kong SFC license knowledge is essential, Chinese language skills are advantageous. Candidates must be willing to be hands-on, covering a broad mix of legal work in a dynamic environment.
