The English Schools Foundation (ESF) is the largest English-medium international school organisation in Hong Kong. Our 22 schools and comprehensive programme of extra-curricular activities bring out the best in every student through a personalised approach to learning and by inspiring curious minds.

ABOUT THE TEAM

ESF Renaissance College Hong Kong (RCHK) is a world-class coeducational independent school and an IB World School. It was the first school in Asia to offer all four of the IB programmes: PYP, MYP, DP and CP.

Students are educated from Year 1 to Year 13 on one site, guided and encouraged by a team of experienced international educators. Our student body comprises 40 nationalities, with 20 languages represented. English is the medium of instruction, with Mandarin taught at every level. Technology is integrated college-wide throughout the curriculum.

JOB DESCRIPTION

Renaissance College is seeking a Health Care Assistant to ensure the smooth operation of the Medical room in order to provide professional, immediate and appropriate medical support to the students and the College.

Key Responsibilities

Provides appropriate first aid and emergency care for illness or injury to students and staff in accordance with school policy and procedure

Assists school nurse to prepare and maintain a cumulative health record for each student

Assists in the completion of student/staff accident reports and routes them to related personnel

Works with parents, students, and school nurse for the control and prevention of disease and for the development of optimum health of each student

Assists in the control of communicable diseases according to procedures

Maintains and organizes student health records, including immunization records and other related health documents

Maintains confidentiality of information learned regarding students and their families

Works with parents, teachers, and school nurse for the development of optimum health of each student

Assists in purchasing and sourcing medical supplies and equipment for the medical room, ensuring that necessary items are stocked and organized

Maintains hygiene and cleanliness of the medical room

Assists in the control of communicable diseases according to procedures

Provides staff with First Aid kits for camps, excursions, trips, etc

Performs all other health-related work delegated by the School Nurse

Requirements

Related health care training and first aid certificates

HKDSE / HKCEE or above with 1 year of clinical experience

Good command of both spoken and written English and Chinese

Mature, pleasant and good communication skills

Hands-on PC knowledge including MS Office
