Manager, Biobank and Histopathology Services

- Oversee and perform daily operation of biobank services
- Plan and organise biobank-related projects in coordination with the clients to resolve roadblocks and to facilitate biological sample storage service
- Develop, monitor and track the workflow on biosample handling
- Ensure service quality, good laboratory practices, privacy and security in compliance with Corporation's requirements
- Manage the ISO 9001 quality management system, other certification and accreditation for service and quality improvement
- Provide training to team members related to Biobank services
- Handle end-to-end process from planning to implementation such as budgeting, business strategy, procurement, and laboratory infrastructure
- Initative new projects to facilitate the R&D of biomedical technology companies in Science Park and local community
- Perform any other duties as assigned
The Candidate
- A bachelor's degree in Biomedical Science, Biology, Biochemistry, Biotechnology, Medical Laboratory Science or other related life science disciplines or equivalent
- 8 years work experience in laboratory operation, preferably in biobank services, tissue and cell line culture, molecular testing, quality management and laboratory accreditation
- Prior experience in clinical laboratory and ISO certification would be a plus
- Registered Medical Laboratory Technologist is desirable
- A good team player who can demonstrate strong ethics to ensure high productivity levels and compliance with regulations with good communication skills
- Good command of spoken and written English and Chinese
- Higher education or professional qualifications with less experience will also be considered
