Quantitative Equity Volatility Researcher - Tier 1 Hedge Fund, Hong Kong

BAH Partners are currently hiring a Hong Kong based Quantitative Volatility Researcher for a Tier 1 Hedge Fund’s equity trading team. In this, ou would be responsible for the research, development and implementation of quantitative models to analyse/explot equity market volatility.


The Role:
  • Working in the core volatility alpha research team, you would conduct quantitative research on market volatility and develop models/strategies to predict and explor movements for equity trading.
  • Focus on data gathering and research/analysis, model implementation and tool building for time series analysis.
  • Conduct research on systematic option markets, with a focus on single stocks vs index spreads to generate alpha signals.
Requirements:
  • Minimum 3 years of experience working on Quantitative Volatility research projects/tools, with a background in working with large/diverse data sets.
  • Strong Python programming skills and experience with machine learning, statistical analysis and data visualisation techniques.
  • Knowledge of Asian equity derivate markets and relevant volatility fitting/analytics.
