Term Lecturer (Tourism Event Management)

Major Duties:

(a)
To perform teaching duties, including preparation and delivery of programme materials, supervision of students’ projects and other academic activities;

(b)
To carry out duties in relation to student and academic administration;

(c)
To develop programme curriculum and teaching, learning and assessment materials;

(d)
To assist in validation and accreditation of programmes; and

(e)
To participate in campus / departmental projects and functions, including but not limited to consultancy services, research studies, seminars, short courses and exhibitions, where necessary.


Requirements:

(a)
A relevant recognised degree or professional qualification, preferably with a post-graduate qualification;

(b)
At least 3 years’ relevant teaching and/or industry experience;

(c)
Good presentation, teaching and facilitation skills in both English and Chinese; and

(d)
Good records of work experience in organising and executing mega events, or linkage with industry / professional bodies would be an added advantage.


Notes:

(1)
Applicant(s) with less experience may be considered for the post of “Term Assistant Lecturer” at the rank of Teaching Associate.

(2)
Applicants with substantial experience and achievements in the relevant field but without the required academic / professional qualifications OR those with exceptional academic / professional qualifications but with less experience may also apply.

(3)
Shortlisted candidate(s) will be required to take a written assessment.

(4)
The appointee(s) may be required to perform duties outside normal working hours and/or outside campus.

(5)
Candidates who are immediately available are preferred.
